Paralympic Gold Medallist Dan Bentley visits Braintree College
Paralympic gold medallist and former student Dan Bentley visited Braintree College to talk to Sport and Exercise Sciences students about his training with the Great Britain Boccia team and his experiences of the 2008 Beijing Paralympics.
Sport Lecturer Sarah Coleman said, “Dan met with 12 BTEC National Diploma students who are learning about facilities and opportunities in sport for people with disabilities. He talked about local sports activities and facilities, as well as the training required to succeed in international competitions; he also brought his gold medal to show the students. Dan is always great fun and his knowledge of sport is an asset to the students’ learning experience.”
