Fundraising Activities for Comic Relief
A range of fundraising activities took place this year for Comic Relief. Six BTEC National Diploma Year 2 Business students organised a sponsored silence and raised £42.02. Lecturer Gill Kelly said: "The students decided to raise money for Comic Relief with a one hour sponsored silence, which took place during a Business lesson in February. The students were completing a ‘Working in Administration’ unit as part of their coursework and had to show that they are able to plan and organise an event. They agreed they are loud class and being silent for a full hour would be a challenge!"
Other activities included a Dodgeball competition organised by the College’s Sport lecturers, a swear box which raised £130, and a cake sale organised by the BTEC Child Care students.
