Valuable Feedback from Readers of our College Newsletter
Braintree College has received valuable feedback from the readers of its recently launched termly newsletter. Over seventy individuals completed an evaluation questionnaire sent out with the autumn edition of ‘Braintree College Update', asking for feedback on the publication and part-time courses. Respondents' names were entered into a prize draw and Riverside Club member Hannah Ray Simmons was the lucky winner of a £25 WHSmith book token.
Hannah said: "I was very pleased to have the opportunity to comment on Braintree College Update and part-time studies, I found the newsletter interesting and informative, especially the handy reference page for diary dates. I started college five years ago when I joined the Riverside Club for retired people and those not in full-time employment. Since then I have attended classes in Art, Fun with English, Pottery and Woodcarving, I am currently attending an ICT course, am learning to play bridge and am committed to continuous learning. I enjoy the social aspect of the Riverside Club and the friendly ambiance at the College."
Braintree College Marketing and Communications Manager Debbie Waller said: "Feedback from the readers of Braintree College Update has been especially valuable. The number one most requested subject was computing, covering requests from basic tuition through to Internet awareness, followed by languages, construction and DIY related topics. The College is keen to seek the views of local people and to focus on delivering courses and services that will meet the needs of the local community."
