Twenty-three BTEC National Diploma and BTEC First Diploma Travel and Tourism students spent a day in Southampton docks on board the luxury cruise liner Saga Ruby. The ship had arrived in port that morning after completing a three month world cruise.

One of the UK's leading amateur quilt makers led a workshop for needlecraft students at Braintree College Riverside Club. Quilter Pat White, who is based in South Wales, brought examples of some of the 170 beautiful quilts that she has created.
