Foundation Level (Level 1)
BTEC Introductory Diplomas (BID)
These are studied over a one year period. Course assignment moderated. The College offers BIDs in four vocational areas.
National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs)
NVQs are work-related qualifications which require you to apply your knowledge to practical situations. At Level 1 you will usually study for one year. There are no externally set exams. The Beauty Salons are realistic working environments at College in which to develop the necessary skills for NVQ. Successful completion will enable you to progress to a Level 2 programme or into a job, where you may still be able to continue NVQ skills training.
Many of the NVQs available through Braintree College can be completed as a part-time learning programme. For more information please contact the Enquiry Desk for a copy of the Part-Time Course Guide.
