E2E - Entry to Employment
E2E is a course for young people aged 16 - 18, which includes vocational training and personal development activities. The main focus of E2E is helping young people to find full-time employment, therefore a lot of the training sessions involve improving skills needed for this.
E2E is a full-time course and learners will work towards a timetable with at least 20 hours of training sessions. All learners are eligible to apply for Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) and will receive up to £35 a week, plus travel. Most of the training sessions will take place at the Braintree campus where there are two dedicated E2E training rooms.
Subjects and activities currently offered include:
- Adult Literacy and Numeracy qualifications
- Communication and Application of Number Key Skills
- Job search skills and Employability - Level 1 qualification
- Driving theory sessions
- Team building activities, visits and outside speakers,
Learners can try out vocational courses in:
- Beauty Therapy
- Carpentry
- Child Care
- Media
- Motor Vehicle Maintenance
- Travel and Tourism
During the course there will also be opportunities to take part in activities such as community projects, sports activities and drama sessions with members of the group and learners from other courses at Braintree College.
