Commitment to Service Excellence as 68 Members of Staff at Essex Police Gain Vocational Qualifications at Braintree College

Sixty-eight members of Essex Police staff recently attended a formal presentation ceremony at the Essex Police College in Chelmsford to mark the successful culmination of a year of hard work.

The award recipients, all police staff representing various departments, including Community Support, Public Protection , Project Management and Witness Care, are amongst the first to have taken part in Essex Police’s new Professionalising the Workforce Strategy.

National Vocational Qualifications were achieved in Business Administration, Customer Service and Team Leading. Completion of these awards underlines the commitment of both individual staff members and Essex Police as a whole to Service Excellence.

Head of Learning and Development at Essex Police, Pankajni Trivedi, praised all involved in the scheme, which offers opportunities for both enhanced staff development and improved performance.

Certificates were presented by Jacquie Watts, Principal of Braintree College, who said that the partnership, which she looked forward to developing further in the years to come, benefited not only the successful learners, but also the College, Essex Police and the wider local community.
