Grayson Perry
Grayson Perry was born in Chelmsford in 1960. He studied the Art Foundation course at Braintree College.
His numerous solo exhibitions since the early 1980s include James Birch Gallery, London (1984), Birch & Conran Gallery, London (1987), Fig 1, London (2000) and the recent major solo presentation of his work, Guerrilla Tactics, at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam and the Barbican Art Gallery, London (2002).
Marilene Oliver
Marilene was born in the UK in 1977. Her work has been exhibited internationally.
She joined our Art Foundation Course from the Anglo European School in Ingatestone and then gained a place at Central St Martin's School of Art where she studied Printmaking before moving on to graduate with an MA from the Royal College of Art.
Giles Long
To reach the pinnacle of international success Giles Long had to overcome cancer.
For twelve years he has represented Great Britain at the highest level in the world of swimming, both as a Butterfly and Individual Medley swimmer and as a relay team member. He won twenty major Championship medals including Paralympic, European, and World Championship Gold medals. His greatest achievement was winning the Paralympic 100 metre Butterfly Gold medal, in October 2000, in a World Record time.
Jeremy Spake
Jeremy, a fluent Russian speaker, first shot to fame in the outstandingly successful BBC One documentary series 'Airport', which in the UK regularly attracted more than 13 Million viewers during his time on the programme.
Chris Dobrowolski
Chris Dobrowolski has been a familiar figure in and around the local art scene for many years and has exhibited his eccentric mechnical works of art throughout Europe & Japan.
Conrad Jacobs
Former Braintree College student Conrad Jacobs is building up his own successful business after training in carpentry and joinery. With business start up funding from the Prince’s Trust Conrad has been able to purchase essential resources for his new business.
James Collins
James studied the BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts and completed the programme in July 2004. Though he thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the BTEC his main interest was in acting.
Jeni Fairey
Jeni started her art career with a foundation course in Art and Design at Braintree College followed by an HND in Figurative Sculpture at Stafford College and a BA(Hons) Degree in Fine Art (sculpture) at Loughborough College of Art and Design.
Jamie West
Jamie studied the BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts from 2002 to 2004
