Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG)
This service is designed to help you to make an informed decision if you want to find out how to improve your job prospects or skills, get a qualification or just make the most of your job. Alternatively, you may be interested in learning something new for fun!
What we offer
- A confidential, impartial and objective information and advice service, covering learning opportunities and the skills and qualifications needed for employment or career progression
- Written information on all courses and opportunities
- A signposting and referral service to other providers and sources of information (if we are unable to offer the information or advice you require ourselves)
- Access to the careers library (with staff support)
- Use of Internet and IT facilities, where appropriate, including Skills Tests
- CV support
The College’s Information, Advice and Guidance service is completely FREE OF CHARGE .

- If we are unable to respond to your request immediately, a response to written correspondence will normally be sent within 5 days
- Where a response is required to a telephone call we will reply within 2 days

Accredited Status

The College is accredited under the Matrix standard for the provision of Information, Advice and Guidance. We underwent a reassessment of our Matrix accreditation in December 2009 at which time the assessor commented that the College "went the extra mile" to assist clients.
Connexions

The College works in partnership with Connexions to provide careers information including advice on college and university courses, work related training and employment opportunities for the 13-19 year old group.
