Study Skills

Study skills are available to ALS students. These sessions will be particularly useful in helping you prepare your assignments. The sessions will be with a learning advisor in an independent learning room. The learning advisor will work with you to ensure you receive the individual support you require.

The sessions will be adapted to meet your needs, an outline of just some of the specific skills they will assist you with are:

• Effective reading
• Research
• Note taking
• Understanding assignments briefs
• Mind mapping
• Assignment planning
• Organisation
