Freedom of Information
The Freedom of Information Act (2000) aims to promote greater openness and accountability across the public sector by giving greater public access to information about the workings of 'public authorities' such as colleges.
As required by law, as of January 1st 2009 Braintree College has adopted the model publication scheme developed by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
A guide to the information that the college currently routinely publishes is available here. The guide explains how to access this information and whether any fee will be charged.
The Freedom of Information Act also gives you the right to request any information held by the college which has not been made available through the publication scheme.
Further information on how request information not shown in the guide is available from the How to Obtain Information section of this website.
